Property Description

What is the location of Hornsey Town Hall?

The new residential complex is located in Crouch End, an area in the London Borough of Haringey known for a thriving art community. With its indie fashion boutiques, cosy bookstores, and charming coffee shops, Crouch End gives off a warm village-like feeling.

Steeped in history, the area has preserved plenty of ancient landmarks and heritage buildings. The centrepiece of Crouch End is the 19th-century Clock Tower, which is only three minutes away from Hornsey Town Hall.

Within walking distance, there is an abundance of green spaces that nature lovers will certainly appreciate. It takes 15 minutes to reach Crouch End Open Space, where you can take a jog, a tranquil walk, or even have a picnic amidst the vast grassy meadows, numerous trees, and blackberry bushes. However, the area is mostly known for a collection of tennis and cricket clubs. Nevertheless, it does not end there as Crouch End Open Space is adjacent to Queen’s Wood, an ancient woodland that offers 52 acres of various plants, including English oaks, beeches, field maples, hornbeams, and wood anemones. If you feel like you are on a strolling spree, then you can cross Queen’s Wood to find yourself in Highgate Wood, another ancient woodland.

The centre of London is easily accessible by underground with Highgate Station, which is 22 minutes away.

What are the project features?

As part of the restoration project of the Grade II listed building of Hornsey Town Hall, the new development includes an arts centre and a hotel in the revived Town Hall with a collection of new-builds, comprised of four buildings.

Stretched from Haringey Park towards Weston Park, the 7-storey Uren Building is composed of four pavilions. Inspired by the modernist architecture of Hornsey Town Hall, the façade features intricate brickwork. Embraced by white panels, the brown-brick sections stand out even more. Adorned with full-height windows, the Uren Building exhibits a beautiful collection of stacked balconies with patterned balustrades.

Adjoining the town hall, the 6-storey Ayres Building sports a brighter façade, covered with strikingly white panels in sharp geometric patterns. The ground floor mimics the brickwork of its neighbour.

Which amenities are on the territory?

The territory of Hornsey Town Hall boasts an abundance of greenery, including charming gardens at its heart and Town Hall Square with plenty of seating areas, a collection of cosy cafes, and a fountain as its centrepiece.

Known for hosting such iconic artists as Freddie Mercury and Ray Davies, the stage of Hornsey Town Hall will once again welcome performers and various cultural events as part of the Arts Centre. Also, the building will be home to a cinema and a hotel. On the ground level, there is a 24/7 concierge desk ready to assist you, while the upper floors are occupied by a co-working hub.

The town hall is crowned with a rooftop terrace that offers breathtaking views of Crouch End and a bar to have a few drinks with friends.

What do the apartments look like?

Hornsey Town Hall includes a unique collection of one-, two, and three-bedroom apartments as well as studios.

The open-plan apartments come with a broadloom carpet in the bedrooms and a mid-tone chevron timber floor in the hallways and living rooms.

The elegant kitchens feature light grey lacquer units with satin nickel handles and a terrazzo-like worktop. To provide everything you may need, each kitchen comes with integrated Siemens appliances, including an electric oven, a dishwasher, an induction hob, and a fridge/freezer.

The chevron pattern of the timber floor finds itself again in porcelain tiles that cover the bathrooms, while the terrazzo effect is used again on a vanity storage unit. Each bathroom features a steel Kaldewei bath with a hinged glass panel and a white wall-mounted WC.
