DeTrafford was made possible by company founder Gary Jackson. He began his real estate career in 1984 when he purchased and renovated his first property, Kane Gardens. These were six condos in a Victorian home, bought with funds raised from his own door-to-door potato round and some additional funding. Later, Gary Jackson managed to survive the 1991 market crisis and overcome difficulties. He has successfully built over 800 new developments, including land, factories, industrial plants, residential buildings and luxury apartments. In 2007, Gary Jackson sold his real estate portfolio for $85 million.

Thus, the DeTrafford Estates Group was founded in 2008. Gary Jackson was committed to realizing his vision of creating innovative, functional buildings. Now the number of the company's projects continues to grow rapidly. The home builder is constantly exploring exciting new opportunities in the UK and abroad.
