It was founded in Rotherham by George Bramall and Dick Ogden as Bramall & Ogden in 1931. In 1983, the company acquired Frank Haslam Milan and changed its name to Keepmoat. During 2010-2012, the home builder acquired Milnerbuild, a Leeds-based social housing repair and maintenance company and Apollo, a social housing provider. After that, in 2014, Keepmoat was acquired by two London-based private equity firms: TDR Capital and Sun Capital Partners. In 2019, the developer sold 4,035 homes.

The developer’s flagship projects include:

  • Sighthill (Glasgow), a part of the Sighthill Transformational Regeneration Area. It provides 824 new homes.
  • Chase Farm (Gedling) consists of more than 1,000 new developments.
